Research requests National Database for Risk Assessment TBS

The National Database for Risk Assessment has been a coordinated effort by the 13 Forensic Psychiatric Centres (FPCs) in the Netherlands that offer high security forensic treatment.

The database holds the mandatory yearly risk assessments of all patients of these 13 facilities, from 2005 onwards*. The following risk assessment instruments are included: HCR-20, HKT 30, PCL-R and SVR-20.

The focal point of this database is learning and improving the practice of risk assessment and risk management for high security patients.

Research requests from outside the 13 participants
The database's founders have in principle a positive attitude towards third party requests for collaboration on scientific research. They value scientific research as a means to improving the practice of risk assessment worldwide.
Below you will find both the criteria that are used to evaluate requests and the submission form with which a request can be made to the 13 participants.
Each participant is owner to the data it has uploaded to the database. Therefore, each participant has the authority to approve use of his own dataset. Hence use of the total dataset in the databases demands an approval of all 13 participants.

In this form you will find information you need to do a research request.
