PILLO

In 2011, the EFP developed a database which holds an inventory of nationwide ongoing research (PILLO).  The purpose of this database is to achieve a transparent and useful overview of current research  within the field of forensic psychiatry. This database informs users who are interested in the ongoing state of affairs and can be a starting point for information exchange and collaboration.

Currently the database contains about 270 investigations, partly completed and partly ongoing. We are working hard to verify and supplement the data. Soon, the database will also include links between PILLO and the EFP care programs, to gain more insight into the areas of ongoing research or the  areas in which research is lacking.  In the near future, an inventory of instruments used in the forensic psychiatric field is added to the database. This inventory will contain a description of each instrument ( e.g. type of instrument, its validity and reliability) and also practical information (e.g. where to obtain the instrument).
